Infantile Refsum Disease is a genetic defect that prevents the proper formation of peroxisomes (cell structures that rid the body of toxic substances). This Trust has been set up in order to provide equipment that improves the quality of life for children who suffer from this disease, in particular Isabelle whom the Trust is named after. Isabelle is blind, deaf, unable to walk and has liver problems.
